For Dogs
Puppies begin distemper/parvo vaccines at 6-8 weeks ending with adult distemper, parvo, and rabies vaccine at 4 months. Vaccines for Kennel Cough and Lyme disease are also available. Annual boosters on all of these vaccines are then needed annually to maintain immunity.
Routine checks for internal parasites and heartworms are also recommended. Heartworm preventive is available in once a day or once a month tablets.
6-8 WEEKS:
- Physical examination
- First DHLPPC (Distemper, Leptospirosis, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvo virus, & Corona virus)
- Deworming
10-12 WEEKS:
- Physical examination
- Second DHLPPC
- Deworming
- Kennel Cough Vaccination
14-16 WEEKS:
- Physical examination
- Third DHLPPC
- Rabies Vaccination*
ANNUALLY:
- Physical examination
- DHLPPC Booster
- Kennel Cough Booster
- Rabies Booster*
- Deworming
*(In the state of West Virginia & Virginia, the first rabies vaccination is valid for 1 year and every rabies booster after that is valid for
3 years)
